Off
Default, every tab. The agent sees nothing — Ridealong stays invisible.
A Firefox extension that lets your local AI agent — Claude Code or Codex — drive your real, logged-in Firefox over MCP. Access is granted per tab, not per site, across five permission levels — the agent only ever sees the exact tab you hand it, while your email, bank, and every other tab stay invisible. Off by default, approved per action, fully audited. Setup is one paste.
AIAgent & onboarding reference — the one-paste setup and the MCP toolsEverything the agent can do is granted by you, gated per tab, shown before it happens, and written to the log.

Permission modes
Set per tab, by you, in the popup. Each tier unlocks a little more — and the agent can never raise its own level.
Default, every tab. The agent sees nothing — Ridealong stays invisible.
Read the page, find elements, wait for content, list open tabs.
Navigate to URLs — no prompt, but every navigation is logged.
Click and fill — each one shown in a trusted popup for your approval.
Run JavaScript in the page — full control, always approved, source shown.
Letting an AI act in your real, logged-in browser only works if you stay in control. Ridealong treats that as the default, not a setting.
Access is scoped to the exact tab you grant — never the whole website. The same site open in another tab, and every tab you haven’t granted, stays invisible to the agent.
The agent can’t see or touch a tab until you grant it a mode — and granting one later never backfills what happened while it was blind.
Stop AI immediately bumps a session epoch that’s re-checked before every action, so in-flight and future calls fail closed the moment you pull access.
Click, fill, and run-script approvals open in a real extension window the hostile page can’t forge, click-jack, or auto-approve.
Off by default, approved per action, killable instantly, and fully logged. Paste one block into Claude Code or Codex and it sets itself up.
